This 1992 Lexus ES300 has the 3.0L V6 3VZFE motor. It has a factory manual transmission which in this condition is incredibly rare. It’s thought that there were less than 1500 examples made between 1992 and 1993. I’ve never found one in this nice of a condition until now. Usually they are rusted out or damaged.
Despite having 200,000 miles the paint is in excellent condition, it has been ceramic coated, and there is very minimal surface rust underneath. I converted the air conditioning system to R-134a with an oem Denso receiver drier and it blows icy cold. I replaced both rear brake lines to the firewall and also replaced the rear proportioning valve with a rust-free unit (exclusive to 1992-1993). When the rear of the car is weighted it adjusts additional braking force to the rear brakes. The car is so clean that it should be in the Toyota museum. It feels like it has under 100k miles on it.
I also flushed the cooling system with Toyota pink SLLC and installed two new radiator caps. Yes, the car has one cap on the radiator and a second cap on top of the motor. Prior to my purchase the dealer installed a new clutch, master cylinder, and slave cylinder in 1999 at 107k miles. In 2002 at 119k miles they installed a new timing belt and water pump. Finally in 2007 at 140k they installed new valve cover gaskets and front crank and cam seals.
The car was in storage for most of the 2000’s. I purchased it in December of 2023 with the intention of building a tubular manifold turbo setup due to the stout design and tunability of the early 1990’s ECU program. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find anyone that would help build the manifold so the car is up for sale.
I sourced a set of 1995 ES300 coach Enkei wheels and had them powder coated by Mirror Image of Kenosha. These are available separate. Currently the factory wheels are on the car. The gauge cluster and climate control units are fully rebuilt.
