For Sale: JZS161 1998 Toyota Aristo 2JZ-GTE Turbo White / Tan

This Toyota Aristo has a twin turbo 2JZ-GTE legendary engine. It has 197,000 kms which is only 122,000 miles.

The car comes with paint code 051 diamond white pearl and interior trim code of FA02 tan.

The Toyota Aristo or Lexus GS300 was a touring sedan nestled in between the smaller Lexus IS or Toyota Altezza and the larger LS400 or Toyota Celsior. This V300 Aristo was also equipped with the 2JZ-GTE Twin Turbo motor!

The JDM motor differed slightly from the US Spec Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE twin turbo motor. The Aristo has sequential twin ceramic turbos with VVT-i mated to the 4-speed auto transmission. The timing belt has been changed in the past. They completed the job with a Mitsuboshi belt.

This car has a slick top without sunroof or spoiler. It also has an aftermarket navigation unit with the factory separate climate control unit. This will make it easy to have a separate climate control unit while installing your own stereo and navigation assembly.

The US spec GS300 gauge cluster can be installed if you prefer the MPH readings along with a European RHD climate control with English buttons.

This Aristo comes with a 3.5 auction grade with a C exterior and C interior. The 3.5 is a fairly high overall rating and the C ratings mean the car is average to good. Japanese auctions typically deduct points for any type of scratches or marks on the paint. There is no indication of any accidents or structural repairs done. If this were the case the car would have an R rating. There is a note that the power mirrors are not working correctly and the hood struts will need replacement.

This Toyota Aristo Twin Turbo is for sale at wholesale pricing of $9,500 and is available for purchase now before it arrives to the US. The car has a clean CAR VX report so you can buy with confidence. The photos of the report are on the bottom of the page. CarVX is a Japan based service similar to CARFAX, but only began several years ago. Typically you will only see mileage history back to around 2020 or so.

Once the car arrives in San Diego pricing will increase to the retail level to account for logistics, shipping, transport, inspection, baseline maintenance, pictures, videos, and additional information. The car is estimated to arrive by late April or early May 2025.
