Jason – Founder of Tanin JDM

Jason is the founder of Tanin JDM, where his lifelong passion for Toyota and Mitsubishi vehicles meets a mission: bringing rare and unique Japanese cars to enthusiasts in the United States. He also supplies OEM parts at wholesale pricing, helping customers keep their cars running exactly as the factory intended.

His journey began in the late 1990s, wrenching on Toyotas and Mitsubishis and falling in love with the toughness of 1990s Toyota diesels. His first car—a tan 1982 Toyota Celica 22R—didn’t survive its blown head gasket, but it sparked the curiosity that shaped his career. Jason has a particular love for “sleeper” cars, like the Toyota Aristo with the 2JZ-GTE twin-turbo engine and humble cloth seats: unassuming vehicles hiding world-class performance.

What sets Jason apart as an importer is his engineering mindset and perfectionist approach. Every vehicle undergoes a complete inspection, from test-drive rattles to hidden wear points. He cross-checks factory databases, taps into a global supplier network, and sources OEM replacements before a car ever reaches a customer. Using factory service manuals, he disassembles, repairs, and reassembles everything to original specifications—often documenting the process on his YouTube channel and across car forums.

The result is cars restored to a level that feels factory-fresh. With all-inclusive pricing, transparent guidance, and decades of experience, Jason bridges the gap between importer and enthusiast—delivering not just vehicles, but peace of mind.
