Tanin JDM was built around a car we keep coming back to: the 2004–2006 Lexus LS430. From our shop in Caledonia, Wisconsin, we buy, inspect, recondition, sell and service these V8 sedans for owners across the country.

Why we specialize in the 2004–2006 LS430
The facelift LS430 pairs Toyota’s 4.3-liter 3UZ-FE V8 with a six-speed automatic introduced for the 2004 model year. All three years—2004, 2005 and 2006—have that transmission. These are the years at the center of our inventory and service work.
The appeal is easy to understand after a drive: a quiet cabin, comfortable seats, smooth power delivery and a size that works well for everyday use. But a model’s reputation does not replace an inspection. At roughly two decades old, maintenance, rust, collision repairs and the condition of each car matter more than the badge.
LS430 Base, Modern Luxury, Custom Luxury and Ultra Luxury
These names describe equipment packages on the U.S.-market LS430. Check the original window sticker, records and equipment on the actual car; a seller’s trim label alone is not enough. Canadian and Japanese specifications differ.
Base and Premium-equipped non-navigation cars
Non-navigation cars have separate audio and climate controls. A Premium Package can add climate-controlled front seats, heated rear seats and Intuitive Parking Assist without navigation. Do not assume every “Base” car lacks cooled seats or parking sensors.
ML · Modern Luxury
ML combines navigation, a rear camera, Bluetooth and Mark Levinson audio with climate-controlled front seats, rear seat heaters and parking assistance. It retains conventional coil-spring suspension and lacks the CL’s power door closers and laminated side glass.
CL · Custom Luxury
CL adds laminated side glass, headlamp washers, power door closers and upgraded interior trim while retaining coil springs. Dynamic laser cruise was offered; some later cars have radar cruise with Pre-Collision System. Verify which system is fitted.
UL · Ultra Luxury
UL adds adaptive variable air suspension and a more elaborate rear cabin: power reclining seats with massage, rear climate controls and rear door shades. Inspect the suspension and rear-seat functions before buying.
Coil springs can simplify suspension ownership; UL offers additional rear-seat comfort. The right choice depends on the features you will use and the condition of the example you find.
What to check before buying a used LS430
- Maintenance evidence. Read dates and mileage for timing belt and water pump work, cooling-system repairs, fluids and other service. A declined recommendation is not a completed repair.
- Underbody and body condition. Review underside photos and disclosures for corrosion, leaks and prior collision repairs. We prioritize dry-climate cars, but inspect each example on its own merits.
- Electronics and comfort equipment. Check the cluster, audio, navigation, climate controls, seats, mirrors and door closers fitted to that car.
- Suspension, tires and road manners. Look beyond tread depth to tire age, inspect for leaks and wear, and check air-suspension operation on UL cars.
- The complete purchase plan. Separate the vehicle as offered from optional work and transport. Ask for a written quote and clarify any gaps in the records.

You do not have to buy a car from us to ask about service. Our Caledonia shop handles LS430 maintenance and repair, with mechanical and diagnostic services, electronics expertise and body and paint work.
Depending on fitment and parts availability, we can quote powder-coated OEM wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires, driver-seat refurbishment, blackout grilles, and timing belt and water pump service. Compatible factory-navigation cars can also receive a GROM CarPlay/Android Auto upgrade. We are a GROM dealer and certified installer offering wholesale unit pricing.
